When I was a kid, I had a horrible memory. Once, I sat holding a pen in my right hand for ten minutes, trying futilely to write, before I finally remembered that I’m left-handed!
As an adult, I finally learned that there are specific techniques that can improve your memory. I can now memorize an entire deck of cards. I can even remember what I’m supposed to buy when I go to the store (which makes my wife a lot happier than memorizing cards.)
I was excited to master a skill that had eluded me my entire life. But I couldn’t believe that nobody taught me this stuff when I was in school and needed it the most. As Beverly Cleary once said, “If the book you want isn’t on the shelf, write it yourself.” I wrote How To Remember Everything to teach kids the memory skills I wish I had learned years ago. It will help them ace tests, learn names and faces, hang on to happy memories, and even win card games. (And the techniques work for grownups, too.)
If you want to get your hands on the book, you can buy it from your local indie bookstore, Amazon, or the retailer of your choice.
